Microsoft Advertising Launches Smart Campaign Mobile App Pilot
Microsoft Advertising Launches Smart Campaign Mobile App Pilot
If you are a user of Microsoft ads, you may have recently noticed a new pilot program. This pilot program allows users to manage Smart campaigns from a mobile device. Microsoft seems to be pushing this new pilot program with an active popup showing in accounts (shown below). Those selected for the pilot will see a popup message with a QR in your Microsoft Advertising account. The QR will direct you to the app store to download the Microsoft Advertising mobile app (if you haven’t already).
If you already have an account downloaded, simply open the app with the Microsoft Ads account selected to participate. From here, you will be able to manage and view your Smart campaigns.
The new pilot features will include:
- Viewing campaign performance
- Editing ads
- Changes to campaign names, status, and budgets
- Managing search phrases
- Addressing account issues like billing or disapprovals
We reached out to Microsoft to see if there was any more info on this pilot program. The Microsoft Ads rep let us know that there were no additional updates on this beyond the popup. As this is the first phase of the pilot for Microsoft, we expect there will be more Smart Campaigns edits and customization to be accessible on mobile.
With more advertisers transitioning to Smart campaigns on Google Ads, it looks like Microsoft is encouraging the same. These new features will make it easier for marketers and businesses to manage Smart campaigns on the go and outside of the office.
